I bridge the gap between digital products, service experiences, and physical spaces to design love-worthy solutions that align with your brand.
The boundaries between tools, spaces, and human interactions are fluid.
Digital products can't be separated from their real world context. Physical spaces must support and extend digital interactions. Both should be built with the goal of enriching the lives of the people who use them.
The most important part of the product is what it enables.
I start with the desired outcome and work backward into the design based on the needs of users and the business. I combine tools from digital product design and innovation with UX, environmental design, and service strategy to craft connected human centered experiences that are visionary and viable.
Experience design is always personal.
I get to know your users, your brand, and your business so I can help you craft products, services, and spaces that serve the people who use them.
The things I make don't fit neatly in one box. I love helping brands extend into new contexts while holding onto the core of what makes them special. I'm attracted to the early stages of the design process, from discovery and ideation to prototyping, and validation pilots.
(They don't really look like this either, but they are real people and you can find them and me on LinkedIn.)
I can't even imagine who I would be today without Natasha. Last summer, she was my mentor at REI and I have to say, she really changed my life. She taught me how to research, explore new ideas and take chances, and learn from failure. Her guidance has made all the difference in my life. Natasha is one of the most inquisitive people I know, and she has an insane ability to plan things ahead. Despite her detailed background and senior status, she is able to make everyone feel even more special.
The best thing about Natasha is that she's not your typical designer. She's way more than that. She's creative, she's visionary, and she's not afraid to push you out of your comfort zone. If you're looking for someone who can change your world, Natasha is definitely the one. I'm so grateful for everything she's done for me and I'm lucky to have had her as my mentor.
I had the privilege of working with Natasha for two years while at REI. Natasha is an amazing talented experience designer - spanning digital-only, in-person, and omni-channel. Her super power is the depth and complexity of questions she asks about a problem or space. This enables her to support many of the critical roles needed during the course of product/service discovery and delivery - product management, research, operations, and design. If you are looking for a powerhouse to help fuel your team, I would strongly recommend talking to Natasha.
Natasha is a critical thinker who will lift information and ideas from the recesses of any project. Her ability to ask insightful, thought-provoking questions is a gift to the team or the task. I found her to be inspiring, clear-eyed, focused, and working at the highest level at nearly every moment. She's also an excellent researcher; using her gifts to drill down on a problem, uncover surprising insights, and do it all with a thoroughness and rigor that will thrill you. She has a wide range of design talents from environmental to digital design. Her thoughtfulness extends to her ability to understand a problem and begin shaping its design solution in her mind with speed and accuracy. All that to say, Natasha makes the people around her better. I really loved working with her and hope to do so again.
I highly recommend working with Natasha. Beyond typical expectations of an ACD, Natasha happily took on additional responsibilities that would typically fall to other roles (such as: strategy, writing, project planning). She onboarded extremely quickly to a complex project, immersed herself in the client information, and was able to facilitate client meetings within a week of joining the team/project. She made an immense amount of progress in a short period of time and worked very proactively/independently, knowing the right balance of when to pull in others for consultation and reviews. The clients and internal team members were very satisfied with her contributions and sad to see her go. I hope to work with Natasha again!
